On Saturday, October 20th, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) continues its Jazz Masters music series with the Enrique Haneine. Immediately recognized for his ability and presence, Enrique has been showered with awards, from winning the Jane Jarvis Jazz Piano Competition and being named Eubie Blake Scholar at Berklee three years in a row, selected candidate at the Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Competition in Paris, France. All About Jazz New York's Best of 2005 Albums of the Year , performing for the 2013 Grammy nominated Best Latin Jazz Album "Multiverse" also performed at The United Nations General Assembly Hall for the 2012 UNESCO International Jazz Day, as well as performances at places like Lincoln Center, Apollo Theatre, The Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian as well as multiple Jazz Festivals and jazz clubs around the world.
With his definitive move to New York City in 2000, Enrique has grown as both a soloist, band leader, and member of numerous trios/quartets, playing in venues such as The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (DC), Jazz at Lincoln Center (NYC), Birdland (NYC), Sweet Rhythm (NYC), Nuyorican Poets Cafe (NYC), Bowery Poetry Club (NYC), Blues Alley (DC), Cornelia Street Cafe (NYC), Knitting Factory (NYC), Detour (NYC), Kavehaz (NYC), Bubble Lounge (NYC), Garage (NYC), and in such institutions as NYU, Pratt Institute, Rockefeller University. |
