Friday, May 12 & 19 @ 8 PM Saturday, May 13* & 20 @ 2 PM and 8 PM Sunday, May 14 & 21 @ 3 PM Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) in partnership with The Ossining Arts Council (OAC) presents The 2023 Living Art Event (LAE). This theater-in-the-round event showcases OAC artworks and six original WCT one-act plays inspired by selected works. OAC member docents will take the audience through a special gallery tour created within the black box performance space. As docents pause intermittently, the artworks will spring to life in the form of plays written by local playwrights featuring WCT member actors. *There will be a talk back with the directors, playwrights and artists after the performance on May 13th. The plays are: Battle of the Wolves, written & directed by Carol Mark Into the Violet, written by Tara Meddaugh & directed by Missy Flower Vanity Scam by Loretta Oleck & directed by Lin Snider Moments of Lucidity, written by Evelyn Mertens & directed by Lori Myers Such Stuff as Dreams Are Made On written & directed by Linda Bidwell Delaney There’s a Storm Coming written by Misha Templar Sinclair & directed by Samuel Harps The artists whose paintings inspired the plays are: Louise Belevich, Teresa Hougnon, Laya Joseph, Betsy Kates, and Elsa Rubenstein. |
