On Saturday evening, May 30, Timeless Singer Songwriters, featuring the music ofJoni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Carly Simon and James Taylor performed by guitarist/ vocalist Peter Calo and vocalist Anne Carpenter, will play at Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)’s Music in the Box series at 7:30 pm. Performing classics and deep tracks alike, the duo will be supported by bassist Paul Adamy.

Calo has been Carly Simon’s guitar player and backing vocalist, musical director and occasional producer and song collaborator for the last 20 plus years. He has worked with such artists as Hall and Oates, Lorna Luft, Dionne Warwick, Queen Latifah, Willie Nelson, Andrea Bocelli, Jimmy Webb, Kris Kristofferson, Leonard Bernstein, and Lesley Gore.

Carpenterhas been a presence on the New York music scene for the past decade. A songwriter herself, her songs have been recorded by Sloan Wainwright and KJ Denhert. She is also familiar to local audiences as the vocalist in WCT’s Living Music Events.

Carpenter and Calo dive into the immense library of music from Carly Simon, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon, songwriting giants who created some of the most endearing and lasting music of our time.
