This class is designed for students who already have prior improv experience and are ready to build on their foundation. Take the next step in your improv training with Improv 102, which expands on the lessons introduced in 101. Students deepen their understanding of the "game" of a scene by identifying patterns, heightening them, and making strong, committed choices. They learn to recognize recurring patterns and explore how to heighten them for stronger comedic effect while developing a stronger sense of group mind and ensemble awareness.

You'll begin working with core long-form tools such as edits, second and third beats, scene progression, and callbacks. Students also learn how to sustain longer scenes using these techniques while sharpening their emotional and comedic instincts to create scenes that are both entertaining and intellectually engaging.

The course culminates in a class performance, where students can invite friends and family to watch their progress. The showcase will be part of an evening of long-form improv featuring professional improv groups from NYC, Westchester & Hudson Valley.
