On Saturday, August 1, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) in Ossining will feature internationally renowned, multiple award-winning jazz vocalist, Alexis Cole at 7:30pm for its Music in the Box series. Cole has been a soloist with the Boston Pops and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, has a dozen albums to her credit and has headlined at clubs throughout the US and Asia. The evening will feature songs from Someone, the first CD release of the Alexis Cole Trio which has been playing together for a dozen years. Accompanying Cole will be drummer Kenny Hassler who has traveled with her globally, from Japan to New York, and bassist David Finck. Finck has performed with such artists as Dizzy Gillespie, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, Natalie Cole, Rod Stewart, Paquito D’Rivera, Tony Bennett, and Andre Previn.
