Improv Comedy Extravaganza Night

The Improv Comedy Extravaganza Night will play on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 at WCT

The evening of fun, high energy celebration of growth and creativity will feature WCT’s Improv 101: Foundations of Improvisation class performance, showcasing improvised games, scenes, and emerging talent. The night continues with an improv comedy extravaganza featuring three professional improv comedy groups from the Hudson Valley and New York City - The Josh and Tamra Show (improv comedy with puppets), Woman(ish), and Hudson Line.

The Josh and Tamra Show, the headliner, has toured the U.S. and beyond for 26 years performing and teaching its unique blend of comedy. Born at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City in 1999, the show combines puppetry with long-form improvisation. Starring seasoned improvisers Josh Cohen, a Jim Henson Muppeteer, and Tamra Malaga, a character actress, each performance begins with an audience suggestion and unfolds into a hilarious, one-of-a-kind, puppet-filled adventure. (May contain adult language and situations.) Woman(ish) is an improv troupe of women and nonbinary individuals from the Hudson Valley area, encompassing Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X. All Woman(ish) shows are 100% produced, directed, and performed by women and nonbinary individuals.

Hudson Line consists of Hudson Valley improvisers committed to smart, grounded comedy. The fully improvised sets start with a suggestion and unfold into layered, character-driven stories created live. The performers play throughout the region and beyond, delivering work that is playful, precise, and always in the moment.
