A 3-part Screen Acting Workshop Series with Jennifer McCabe
Mondays 7- 9:30pm
February 10-April 7
Part I: Introduction to Screen Acting-Feb 10, 17:
Actors will be introduced to the art of screen acting and to BEING in front of a camera. They will learn the fundamentals of performing in this medium and gain an understanding of the multitude of differences between stage acting and screen acting.
Part II: Crafting Your Screen Performance-March 3, 10:
Actors will deepen their knowledge of screen acting and will learn how to recalibrate their instruments more specifically for the screen. They will get trained in how to craft each moment of their screen acting using Jen’s Top Ten Screen Acting Tools.
Part III: Auditioning for the screen-March 31, April 7:
Actors will learn the ins and outs of auditioning, including self-tape protocol, the business of acting and current casting trends. They will ‘find their pocket’ so they know how best to market themselves to the industry.

This class is suitable for all levels as it will address each student's needs individually. Every class will begin with a Relaxation Exercise. We will then move into Sensory Work and or Uta Hagen Object Exercises, followed by working on scenes from published plays. Students are free to work on characters/plays that they are most interested in or would feel positively challenged by.
