The camera can be an important partner and learning tool for actors. If you struggle with confidence in front of the camera or are you mainly a theatre trained actor who wants more experience in front of the camera, this is a great class for you!
Maybe you're looking to work on an audition reel or want help perfecting your skills with self-taping auditions. This acting for camera course will help you develop those skills. You will explore the language and work on acting techniques that will allow you to be comfortable when you walk on a film or television set.
Class Requirements: For the first class please have two short, contemporary monologues, approximately :30 and :60 seconds, transcribed from current television series or films, appropriate for your type, that you are ready to record on camera. |

About Matt:
Matt Lagle is and Emmy Award winning television director and member of the Directors Guild of America, with over thirty years of experience. Matt has enjoyed working in daytime drama, situation comedies, children’s programming, and many other formats. He’s knowledgeable in all aspects of production and specializes in helping get great performances from on camera talent. Matt graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Television and Film. While there, he discovered a love for the collaborative and creative teamwork that occurs in front of, and behind the camera.

Curriculum:
On camera acting techniques, Comedic & Dramatic Monologues, 2 person scenes, Spokesperson Work, Teleprompter Technique, Self-taping auditions and more.
All participants will receive footage of their class work to use in their reels. Finished Actors Reels not included in the cost of tuition. Reels may be purchased from the instructor.

Cancellation Policy:
- 50% class fee (minimum) required at sign-up (Payable by Check, Paypal, CC, Cash)
- 50% balance due by 1st day of class
- Class registration will close after the 2nd week of the course, or sooner if class maximum enrollment has been reached.
- Class fee will be pro-rated for those first 2 weeks of the course, for those students who enroll after the start date of the course.
Cancellation Policy:
- Students who must cancel a course can receive a credit for a future course only if they notify WCT by e-mail at least 10 days before the 1st day of the registered class.
- Course credits are valid for 1 year.
- 100% tuition refund if course is cancelled by WCT.
